American Heart Association Temporary Administrative Assistant in Dallas, Texas

The American Heart Association’s Innovation Team is looking for two part-time, Temporary Administrative Assistants to provide administrative support to our School Engagement team. Both positions are short-term assignments lastly approximately three months. We're looking for individuals who can complete the entire duration of the assignment. Our ideal candidates are detail oriented, ability to enter data, understands Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, knows how to complete a mail merge, and make phone calls in a timely and professional manner. We do expect you to have strong typing and organization skills.

These are part-time, temporary positions working 25 hours per week with an approximate end date of 5/31/2023. These positions will work fully remote, and location is flexible within the six states of our SW region territory including the states of AR, CO, NM, OK, TX, and WY.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Event Wrap-Up Support

  • Send UPS labels, looking for tracking, exporting and sending student gift orders as the teachers receive thank you gifts.

  • Recruitment Support

  • Build “banner delivery certificates&rdquo.

  • Contact schools to confirm leadership contact information and schedule recruitment meetings for School Engagement Directors.

  • Update CRM database Dynamics with activity, including scheduling of recruitment meetings.

  • Research districts and update connections within Dynamics.

  • Secure meetings with superintendents and district leaders for Vice Presidents.

  • Cultivation Support

  • Superintendents: build relationships with Superintendent Executive Assistants.

  • Students: support kids by sending thank you correspondence to participants.

  • Teachers & Principals: assist with Virtual Banner Delivery and Virtual Awards Ceremonies.

  • Provide support in researching and securing meetings with leadership and state organizations that have influence over school level decision makers – especially Principals.

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.

  • Proficiency in Outlook and related Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Experience and knowledge with mail merges.

  • Ability to adapt to various office environments.

  • Ability to type.

  • Attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

Expected pay will be $23 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
