In this full-time temporary position based in Tri-Cities , the School Engagement Associate will support the Development team and participating schools throughout the assigned region with administrative support such as helping with email campaigns; scheduling and clerical coordination including scheduling recruitment and planning meetings with schools; data entry, donation processing and customer service.
This position involves regular local travel for on-site school support and presentations.
This temporary position is from September 2023 up through April 2024.

The successful candidate for this role has a passion for health and the resourcefulness, detail-orientation and customer-service to engage youth, teachers and volunteers to enthusiastic action. Other qualifications include:
Experience with (or aptitude for) driving fundraising initiatives with schools and students
Strong customer service and teamwork orientation
Effective organizational, detail management and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to adapt and present to a wide range of audiences from kindergarteners to teens and adults to facilitate online presentations with potential of in-person presentations as needed
Must have reliable transportation. Current driver’s license and insurance required.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.The American Heart Association invests in its people.
