The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Community Impact Associate with our Southern Arizona Division based in Tucson .
This is a temporary, part-time position to support our Southern Arizona Division with the coordination of community outreach and program implementation. This involves a flexible schedule of up to 10 hours per week up through January 2023.
Assist in coordinating activities related to program implementation for self-monitoring blood pressure management and related community education.
Support community outreach including making phone calls and distributing program information to community organizations.
Participate in the recruitment, development, and maintenance of strong community relationships.
Serve as a liaison between community participants in the American Heart Association’s programs and the local division office.
Assist in the data collection procedures to monitor progress, data evaluation for program evaluation and the creation and maintenance of reports, including photo documentation, for grant funders to demonstrate fulfillment of activation goals and garner support for continued funding.
Provide administrative, logistics and clerical support for the division team in support of events and programs.
Working knowledge of community health programming
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
Access to reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends as needed for community events
