American Heart Association Director of Marketing and Analytics in United States
The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Marketing and Analytics in our National Center . The location for this position is remote and flexible .
The Director , Marketing Planning and Analytics is a strategic thinker, insights driven, results oriented, brand storyteller responsible for developing overarching, organization -wide integrated marketing plans and innovative and optimal omnichannel media strategies for key target audiences to drive mission impact, brand relevance and revenue. The individual ideates, develops, and implements marketing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Market Research & Insights, Business Units, Communications, Social, Creative and Web/Digital) to deliver consistent messaging in all channels of the customer journey. Builds and maintains relationships with all stakeholders to meet the business needs and fulfill assigned marketing plans. Individual serves as a brand champion for the Association’s positioning, messaging, and visual identity with a primary focus on the strategic development and implementation of brand and cardiovascular related campaigns and initiatives. Provides leadership, mentoring and guidance to others.
Essential Job Duties:
Develops an insight driven, strategic marketing vision and annual / seasonal plans for brand initiatives and business units to advance mission impact, brand relevance and revenue goals.
Establishes key partnerships and fosters strong cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners, agencies, and field/ sales teams to oversee integration and implementation of omnichannel digital marketing strategies, SEO/ SEM, CRM, sales/promotional tools, messaging, content, and brand engagement regionally and nationally.
Elevates the quality of ideas and creative content. Leads campaign development, implementation, execution, and measurement. Collaborates with internal teams and agencies/ vendors to create and implement content across owned, paid, and earned channels that engages our target audiences and inspires them to act.
Champions health equity, diversity, and inclusion. Provides leadership, mentoring and guidance to direct reports.
Identifies areas of marketing opportunity. Drives internal alignment. Presents to Senior and Executive management on an ongoing basis.
Accesses data and evaluations from a variety of internal and external sources. Collaborates with analysts and cross functional team to deliver performance reports and insights and recommends actions or revisions to strategies.
Creates innovative and optimal media strategies, implements test and learns, works with partners to build, track and optimize advertising campaigns (SEM, social, display.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related area.
Ten (10) years of the following experience:
Is a leader and a doer – able to ideate strategies and work on implementation
Creative storyteller who captures audiences with compelling narratives and possesses excellent deckbuilding and written/verbal communication skills
Excellent cross-functional team, project, and organizational leadership skills with the proven ability to interact with and influence across all levels and functions
Experience in developing strategic marketing and brand development recommendations that address business needs (fact-based substantiation)
Experience in working with multiple vendors/partners (internally and externally) with critical timelines and multiple project requirements
Experience in brand governance within a client organization and/or an advertising agency
Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders – creative, media, legal, science, internal partners, product owners.
Five (5) years of the following experience:
Ability to interface comfortably and effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to influence effectively
Five (5) years of experience with development and delivery of integrated campaigns (direct, online and mass disciplines) and demonstrated success in driving business results through insight, client focus and executional excellence
Five (5) years of experience in leading large budget and multi-media campaign development and execution from initial research phase and plan development through roll-out
Three (3) years Health Care Experience
